LONDON – Brazilian doctors are reporting the world’s first baby born to a woman with a uterus transplanted from a deceased donor. There have been eleven previous births using a transplanted womb, but from a living donor – typically a relative or friend.
CBS News has the story of the first baby born from a Transplanted uterus from a dead doner. The woman who gave birth was born without a uterus and one was transplanted from a woman who unfortunately had died of a stroke. Best wishes to both the mother and the child. She is going to have one hell of a story to tell when she gets older!
At a weekend workshop in Maryland, physicists from the LIGO and Virgo collaboration reported four previously unannounced detections of gravitational waves from merging black holes, including the biggest-known black-hole collision to date, roughly 5 billion years ago. That merger resulted in a new black hole that is a whopping 80 times more massive than the Sun.
ARS Technica has a story of a nightmare idea that has actually happened in space. Black Holes are the kind of thing that space people, whether looking at real life or just fiction, find as bad news. However, at a workshop in Maryland, some physicists revealed that there have been detections of Black holes, colliding with each other! One scenario that these scientists told about was detected to have probably happened nearly 5 million years ago and created a new black hole that is 80 times more massive than our own Sun!
The XFL held a press conference today in New Jersey, announcing the host cities and venues for the re-launch of the XFL. The governor of New Jersey opened the event and Vince McMahon then took over, stating that the XFL was ahead of its time. The XFL returns on February 8th and 9th of 2020.
411 Mania has news of the announcement of 8 cities that will play host to XFL Football teams in 2020. WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is heading up this relaunch and it sounds like they have learned from the first version of the Football league. We will have to see about that. The 8 locations announced are Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/New Jersey, St. Louis, Seattle, Tampa Bay, and Washington DC. Let’s see how this attempt goes!
Canadian authorities have arrested the chief financial officer of Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei Technologies in Vancouver, B.C. Meng Wanzhou, who also goes by Sabrina Meng, was arrested in Vancouver on Saturday, Dec. 1, Justice Department spokesperson Ian McLeod told Global News. A court hearing has been set for Friday.
Global News has the story of the arrest of Meng Wanzhou, the CFO of Chinse tech giant Huawei Technologies. Meng, who also goes by the name of Sabrina Meng was arrested in Vancouver while trying to change flights at an airport. She is facing extradition to the United States, but the weirder part about this is that the charge4s the4mselves are not being reported so no one exactly knows why she is being held. China is asking for her release, but the U.S. and Canada are not saying much as to why they have her in the first place.
CLOSE The chairman and largest investor in Sears Holdings is offering to buy the retailer out of bankruptcy – including 500 of its remaining stores – in what may amount to the chain’s last hope to survive its precipitous decline.
USA Today has a report that there is an offer to Buy retail giant Sears out from Bankruptcy and take on 500 stores. The chairman of one of the Largest investor groups of Sears Holding, Sears chairman Eddie Lampert, has said that the deal would be worth $4.6 billion. A new plan has been announced, but as a former employee of Kmart, I would say you are going to need on if you want to jump into that pool!

CNN has an odd story of something found in the Thames River in London, a 500-year-old Skeleton! It was found as London is working on the new “Super Sewer” to drain sewage and rainwater. The skeleton still features some thigh high boots that were of such high quality and decent enough shape that it lead of investigator to look even further into the skeleton.

Now that the final batch of challenges are available, you only have a few more days to complete them and unlock any remaining Season 6 Battle Pass rewards before Season 7 kicks off.
Ending on something positive, Gamespot has the story that the popular video game Fortnite is starting a big update in “Season 7.” “Season 6” was slated to run until December 6 and “Season 7” is now Live. Fans of the battle royal shooter game now have new things to do and discover while hopefully not having bugs or issues popping up.
