Extraordinary and Unique Places You Have to Visit

The world is such a beautiful place. And the best thing about being alive is being able to travel. There are so many places that deserve even minutes of your time. There are also those crazy locations that are amazingly beautiful at the same time. I’m talking about natural wonders that simply leave you breathless. Life is so short, so if you are a real adventurist that loves traveling to strangely-beautiful and unique places, you’ve come to the right place.

I listed some of the most mesmerizing locations on earth, which are one-of-a-kind. They will all provide you with unforgettable views and stay.

Spotted Lake: British Columbia, Canada

This is one of the most amazing natural creations in the world. The Khiluk Lake is the most mineralized one and it’s considered to be a sacred natural gem by the native Okanagan people. It’s made of over 300 natural spots, all separated from each other. The best thing about this mesmerizing location is that every single pool has a different and unique chemical content. Once summer comes, almost all of the water evaporates. This is when the mineral content gets its main role. At that time all of the pools are colored in a different shade. This is probably one of the weirdest views you’ll ever experience, but it definitely is an amazing one. Visitors are advised to respect the limits and not to trespass.

Salar de Uyuni: Daniel Campos, Bolivia

The world’s largest salt mines are something you have to put on top of your traveling bucket list. This is a view you’ll never forget. It is located in Bolivia and it mimics an enormous mirror. The salt fields are covered with water, which gives that reflection and the look of a mirror. You will be surrounded by a bright white view that comprises over 10,000 square kilometers. The picture of the sky completely reflects on the field and you won’t be sure whether you’re walking on land or air.

Pamukkale, Turkey

Pamukkale or the cotton castle is located in the southwest part of Turkey. Another natural wonder and one of the most unique places that you simply have to visit. It is a UNESCO-protected World Heritage Site, that is actually a huge white formation made of travertine deposits. Pamukkale features gorgeous pools full of turquoise water highly-saturated in calcite. It is a source of hot water springs. This location and its waters are considered to work wonders for a number of health problems. During the past few years, some of the travertine terraces are now dry. Both UNESCO and Turkey are doing everything they can to protect this natural wonder. Once upon a time, the Roman civilization built the Hierapolis right where Pamukkale is now, so you can still see plenty of ancient ruins once you reach the top.

Lake Hillier, Western Australia

The chances are you’ve already seen the gorgeous pink lake on your Insta feed before. And probably you thought it was photoshop. Well, it’s definitely not. This mesmerizing creation is located in the Recherche Archipelago in Western Australia. Since there is a specific reason behind every natural gem, the Lake Hiller has a unique pink color because of a special type of algae and bacteria. Dunaliella salina is an algae species that live in the same habitat with a type of pink bacteria called halobacteria. It seems that this combo completely changes the color of the water. It is extremely salty and it’s non-toxic. Many people wonder whether they can swim in the Lake Hillier, and the answer is yes!
