Texas Lutheran is located in Seguin near the beautiful Texas Hill Country and not far from the San Antonio's Spurs, the city's famous River Walk, and countless entertainment venues that give a big city convenience to students in Seguin.

TLU is kinda located right in the middle of a couple larger cities. We have San Antonio Austin's 30 minutes away, New Braunfels especially there in the summer months, they have 2 big resorts. Often, they get a whole group of TLU students to go out there.

The tree-lined campus provides a safe and welcoming environment where you can reach your classes quickly and easily. TLU stands on 184 acres of park-like campus in a community of over 25,000 residents. Feel like hanging outdoors? There are more than 200 acres of parkland, four lakes and the Guadalupe River close tie and convenient.

Ninety-six percent of our student body is from Texas. And we get students with various backgrounds in terms of geographic region, also majors, interests. We could be home to anyone.

By the way, 26 percent of students are Lutheran.

As far as our admissions policy here at TLU, we look at the high school transcript, SAT or ACT score. SAT, we're looking usually between 950 and 1150 and a 22 or 24 on the ACT, a 3.0 GAP on a 4.0 scale, 2 letters of recommendation, one from a teacher, one from a counselor, and a personal essay.

Texas Lutheran University's comprehensive fee is around 26,000 dollars including room, board, and activity fees.

About 95 percent of our students do receive some sort of financial aid whether it be scholarships, grants, loans or work study. So even though students may think private school not an option, too expensive, that's not the case.

TLU offers about 26 majors, 32 minors, and 13 pre-professional programs, also making international and off-campus studying available including Washington Semester, International Student Exchange Programs and much more.

Texas Lutheran University is listed in the US News and World Report's annual rankings of America's best colleges. And the Princeton Review named TLU to its best western colleges list.

Most popular majors are Business Administration, Kinesiology, Teacher Education, and Biology. Their Accounting and Athletic Training Programs are well known and highly acclaimed.

A lot of our students have jobs when they leave and that come of a big plus. All of our accounting students do. They have internships with the big four firms and most of them are employed a year before they leave after an internship.

Texas Lutheran has 73 full-time faculty members. Sixty-three percent of the faculty members are tenured. Wouldn't it so great for the students whose classes average about 18 students giving them a great learning advantage?

TLU has 8 national championships including 1 since moving on to Division 3.

Fourteen men's and women's Bulldog varsity athletic teams compete at the Division 3 level in the American Southwest Conference.

Texas Lutheran has approximately 900 students living in the university's 7 dorms and 11 university-owned apartment buildings. Plus for those traveling to TLU with kids in tail, TLU offers family housing for your convenience.

It is important to live on campus.

They put a lot of attention in pairing you up with a good roommate.

And you are more aware of all of the social activities that [inaudible] live through.

It's just a lot of fun because it's just like a big family.

You get to meet wide form of friends.

There are over 60 organizations on campus including an active Greek life. If the club or organization you're interested in does not exist, you are highly encouraged to startup your very own.

On campus there is so much to do.

I play intramural basketball. I'm also the secretary of Delta Epsilon Iota. I'm a little sisters of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.

I'm in Alpha Kappa Psi in the national business fraternity.

I'm a member of the Black Student Union. I'm a member of the Student Education Association.

I hardly ever get to leave campus because I'm involved in so many things.

Some things you won't wanna miss in the Historic Center of Seguin less than a mile from campus are the Annual Chihuahua Races, the Pecan Festival, Seguin Rodeo or the monthly Third Thursday concerts.

There's a really cool tradition at TLU. During the winter time, right before exams, students come back to suite in the Polar Bear Swim. They turn out the heat and whoever jumps in, wins a free t-shirt.

TLU has a strong sense of community. So whether your interests are sports, the arts, socio, or service, there's a place for you at TLU.
