And I'm Ferrari St. Paul here at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Southeastern Oklahoma State University is located in the small town of Durant, Oklahoma near Lake Tacoma and the Texas border.

Durant is centrally located about half way between really Dallas and the Oklahoma City metroplex area. So it makes it a good location. It's small enough to have a small-town feel, but yet it's large enough to be beneficial as well.

SE's total enrollment is approximately 4,000, representing 38 states, 28 foreign countries and approximately 30% Native Americans. The student to faculty ratio is 19 to 1.

Students around here are after the same thing I am, you know? We're here to get a degree and not pay an outrageous amount for it and try to make some friends along the way, because the friends that I've made here I'm pretty sure will be my life-long friends, be coming to my weddings and seeing my firstborn child, whenever that is.

Students looking to be accepted into Southeastern Oklahoma need at least a 20 ACT, 940 SAT and 2.7 high school GPA.

All students at Southeastern Oklahoma can expect to pay an annual tuition of about $4,400.

Southeastern Oklahoma offers 44 majors, including business, teacher education, and aviation.

One of the more popular majors at Southeastern is the Occupational Safety and Health Program. Students are trained to keep workers safe and healthy on the job, like firefighters and construction workers.

Students are harnessed and suited up in HAZMAT gear and lowered into this bunker that is pitch black and filled with fog. And they need to navigate their way through to conduct a safety mission.

It's pretty dark down there, but I'm all right. I can't believe the students do it.

Want to fly? Well here's your chance. Students at Southeastern Aviation Program are training in aviation management and professional piloting. They won't let me behind the wheel of a real plane. I don't know why. But I'm making my way there with this flight simulator. Who knows? Maybe on your next flight your pilot will be an SE alum.

SE employs 156 full-time faculty members and 114 part-time. 66% hold their terminal degrees.

I am constantly amazed at the quality of the faculty on this campus. Faculty from a host of different universities, the tier 1 schools that have come here to Southeastern to teach. And they come here to Southeastern because they want to teach and not spend their entire career doing research. And while we still have a research component here, we're primarily a teaching school, and that's what appeals to many of my colleagues in the faculty.

The faculty is great. I know from athletics, you know, we're gone a lot for school, and they're more than willing to help and they reschedule, you know, they'll let you reschedule tests and stuff like that. So, it's really nice.

Okay Nicole. Let's see what you really know about Southeastern sports. What is their mascot?

Savage Storm, sir!

Division II, sir!

NCAA?

Yes, sir. NCAA Division II!

What conference?

Lone Star Conference, sir.

How many varsity teams?

Eleven varsity teams, sir!

And how many conference championships does the football team have?

I don't know, sir.

That's right. Head to showers.

School spirit here is incredible. From everything that I have attended and my wife, and I have two daughters have attended, we have felt heartfelt enthusiasm and love for this campus. The students, the faculty, the staff and the community all rally around every event from a home football game to a concert that our choir may be putting on.

Southeastern offers several dorm options for you to study, socialize and sleep at. No time to sit around here at SE. Get involved in one of the on-campus activities. Let loose, have some fun.

At Southeastern, because we're a small university there's always room for you in our organizations. We have organizations from Green Club to Psychology Club to Math Club, anything you're interested in you can find at Southeastern and you can make yourself a part of the campus.

Before Country Music star Reba McEntire became world famous, she graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

There are many advantages to going to school in the Midwest. You might be able to participate in activities you wouldn't be able to in other regions, for instance, Southeastern has one of the most competitive rodeo teams in the Central Plains region. Where else can you find this?

So take advantage of all that Southwest has to offer and see the sun rise at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
