Hello, Youniversity TV land. I'm Ferrari St. Paul here at Morehead State University, and I'm starting off my day the same way students do, with a cup of coffee from the Fuzzy Duck Coffee Shop. Let's get ready for a tour.

Morehead State University is located in Morehead, Kentucky at the foothills of the Daniel Boone National Forest in Rowan County. Morehead is surrounded by rural regions, mountains, and lakes, and is midway between Lexington, Kentucky, and Huntington, West Virginia.

This university has a beautiful green campus with wide open spaces, a lake, and rolling hills.

Morehead State University enrolls more than 9,000 students from 100 Kentucky counties, 39 states, and 27 nations.

The first score value of Morehead State University is that people come first. And I would say that is one reason why students who choose Morehead State University is because we do put our students first, whether it's inside the classroom or outside the classroom, we want our students to take room. We want their goals to take room. We want them to grow. And so, this is a place where they would come and we are committed to them wholeheartedly, so that they could leave here and know that they had a good experience.

The average incoming freshman needs a minimum ACT score of 18 or SAT of 870 to be admitted unconditionally. Plus, the minimum admission index is 450. To obtain your admission index, you wanna take your ACT score, multiply that by 10, and your GPA, and multiply that by 100, and add the 2 scores together.

In-state students can expect to pay about 6000 dollars for annual tuition, while nonresidents will pay closer to 15,000 dollars. If you room and dine on campus, add additional cost of about 6500 dollars. Plus, books and supplies are about 900 dollars. There are nearly 80 degree programs available through core colleges and the institute for regional analysis and public policy. MSU has strong preprofessional programs in medical, dental, veterinary, law, music, and education.

Which we have 1 of only 4 state science degrees in the nation. They may not have expected it and they came but they are pleasantly surprised to find that.

Just a few of students' favorites are education, business, and communications.

We do have a few courses where students take trips in criminology. The students take--there's a prisons tour where they actually get to go inside prisons as well as local jails and experience in terms of knowing what future--a future career might hold.

We went to New York, like the United States Embassy and United Nation's building. A year before that, we went to DC [inaudible].

MSU is one of only four universities in the US to offer a Bachelor of Science degree in space science.

The faculties at Morehead State University are some of the best in the nation. We have faculty that are committed to teaching first, and I think that is what makes us a strong university.

Morehead State is taking pride in having mostly full-time faculty and most of our faculties are PhD or terminal degree faculty. We generally have faculty teaching classes, we don't use graduate assistant.

They will get in contact to you in less than 12 hours of emailing them. You can call them at office hours.

Students who come here are acceptance rates into professional schools. So medical school, dental school, pharmacy, those acceptance rates are above state and national averages.

The MSU Eagles are charter members of the Ohio Valley Conference in NCAA division 1 in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women.

[Inaudible] is definitely in a lot better. Basketball is a lot more fun. You have--if you want more history, the university is doing a lot with getting people attracted to come to the game. 'cause they're always giving away something.

Put your palms together for MSU. Eagles Cheerleading Team has won more than 20 national titles. That's more than any other school in the country.

MSU offers 14 residence halls and on-campus apartments.

There's a 2-person and a 4-person. There's upper classmen and lower classmen. All the dorms are coed per floor.

The sorority that I chose, my sister was in it, so I wanted to be in it. It's given me the best experience, really in my life. I stepped up as a leader, it's--let me grow as a person.

We've had a Chamillionaire concert. We've had a Dashboard Confessional concert. We got Emerson Drive, Blessed Union Souls, Black Violinist, the Steel Hawaiian Drum Band, all these things. People from the real world, [inaudible], MTV, hypnotist, comedians, and that's all coming from SCA and [inaudible] and the university
