[ Music ] Edinboro University of Pennsylvania is located in North Western Pennsylvania's resort region. Highlighted by; Lake Eerie beaches, ski resorts, and a fabulous nightlife.

Centrally located between Pittsburg, Buffalo, and Cleveland so it's a convenient location for students. They can get away from home, but not too far.

Being at Edinboro is great [inaudible]. There are a lot of fun things to do. We have Lake Eerie, which is just up the road, and Prescile, which has beach and a nice lakefront and a bay, which has a lot of water spots etc. In the winter if you like skiing, it's a great place to be too, so there's a lot of things happening around.

The Edinboro campus is 585 acres with picturesque wooded areas, 43 building, and a 5-acre lake. There are approximately 7,700 students at EUP from 34 states and 32 countries. The student to faculty ration is 18:1 and the average first year class size is 28.

Classes are, they're pretty small. That's another reason why I like Edinboro actually because the classes are small, you get the one one one interaction, not sitting in a room with hundreds of people.

We have a pretty diverse population of students, we have nontraditional, we have traditional students, we have international students, we have students from very rural areas, students from urban areas. It's just a great area, with a great program, it's a pretty exciting place to be to go to school and be.

The average Edinboro student has around a 3.2 GPA, 20 ACT, and critical reading and math combined SAT score close to 1000.

Typical Edinboro student is somebody who wants to be successful in life, to do great things, and to really have a great time at college for their four years here.

Tuition for an incoming Pennsylvania resident is roughly $13,000. While out of state, residents will pay closer to $16,000. Tuition includes; additional fees and room and board. There are over 100 majors available at Edinboro University. Just a few student favorites are education, nursing, arts, criminal justice, and psychology.

We have tons of people come for the music series here, Friends of Music, that I really do enjoy because I feel like I'm getting more out of my money because their coming here and culturing me, and giving me that experience that I wouldn't have if I didn't come to Edinboro.

Edinboro employs 404 full and part time faculty members and nearly two thirds hold a doctoral or a terminal degree.

You almost become really good friends with them, and they help you out on all your project. Any questions, you can always you know ask your professors, and then there's also grad students that help you out a lot in the studio and someone's always there.

All Edinboro teams compete at the NCAA division 2 programs and are members of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. Except for wrestling which is NCAA division 1 and competes in the prestigious Eastern Wrestling Meet.

I was wrestling coach when I first [inaudible] I was also competing for the Olympics and I was able to win 4 Olympic medals at 4 different Olympics. And I think that a lot of the attributes that I learned as an Olympian that helped me acquire that success, hopefully we are using some of those ideals and goals to have the best athletic program we can at Edinboro University.

[Inaudible] is also the first college in Pennsylvania to offer women's sports way back in 1897 when they formed the Girls Athletic Association.

[ Music ] Edinboro University is committed to serving students with physical disabilities and they have one of the best wheelchair basketball teams in the nation, they're called the fighting Scots. And they recently added a power wheelchair soccer team to the mix. Go burros. There are 13 on campus residence halls with a wide range of choices including, new suite style housing as well as, living learning, [inaudible], and coed housing. Edinboro has more than 220 student organizations and if that's not enough, there are always intramural competitions including a nationally ranked ultimate Frisbee team.
