Once upon a time, back in 1898 to be exact, Abbott Pennings here founded St Norbert College, a catholic institution. Fast forward to present day and I'm Ferrari Saint Paul with YOUniversity TV and I'm ready to take a tour. St Norbert College is located in De Pere, Wisconsin, just 5 miles from the Green Bay and Lambeau Field, home to the Packers.

There's quite a bit to do in Green Bay and De Pere. It's your more of an urbanite Chicago and the Milwaukee aren't that far way and if you're from a smaller town this probably has a nice mix for you.

The St Norbert Campus is made up of 28 buildings on 93 acres set on the banks of the Fox River.

We really follow the catholic intellectual traditions and that's going to be seen more classrooms and student development.

It's one of those things where you can become as enrolled with a faith based you know group or the church itself or you don't have to do at all, it's really up to you and the opportunities are unlimited, but same time not required which I think is the really comfortable environment for everybody.

St Norbert has over 2000 undergraduate students and 83 graduate students from 26 states and 29 foreign countries. The student body is made up of 45% men, 55% women and 10% of diverse and international students.

We look at the whole student when they file, not just one ACT score, one SAT score or one semester grades, but the whole picture. The involvement of the student, the curriculum that they've taken or they've taken a challenging course while in high school. So we do weigh all those things.

All students will pay an annual tuition of about $26000 plus around $7000 for room and board and fees. The average financial aid package is over $17000 and over 98% of students receive financial aid. There are over 40 majors, minors, and programs offered at St Norbert College. Education and business administration are just a few of the students favorites.

I'd say our education program is really phenomenal as far as the job placement, the students get early exposure in the classroom as early as their sophomore year at St Norbert. The accounting program where lot of schools have five year program, you can get them through in four. Lot of opportunities lie in different directions. Community service aspects is the biggest piece at St Norbert. Part of the whole Norbert team tradition and being involved in giving back to the community whether here on campus or in the local area or you're studying abroad and do community service while studying abroad.

The college sends students all, all around the world actually to work for all the way from AIDS patients to the poorest of the poor, to some of our Norbert team abbies [inaudible] in, in Europe and doing a multitude of things from, from teaching to speaking with people to serving food, you name it. So it's a huge component of, of what we're about.

There are 109 locally, nationally, and international full time faculty members at St Norbert's. 93% hold a PhD or highest degree in their field.

The opportunities here for students to work with faculty on different collaborations and projects are numerous.

What we're trying to do is build community, in fact we're not even using that word anymore, we're using a Latin word communio because communio really refers to these hard felt caring connection. So the faculty are available, their doors are open.

Students who wish to have more individualized attention would do well here because it's hard to fall through the cracks. In, in our discipline we ask students to all do research and they develop their intellectual baby over the course of the semester and through the design, analysis, and then the final write up and presentation phase and they explore [inaudible] sensation perception to cognition, feelings, emotion, etc.

They're able to hook me up with jobs, they're able to get me connected to some other people.

The St. Norbert Green Knights participate in NCAA division 3 athletics in the Midwest conference.

The Cornerstone Community Ice Center is where the St Norbert men's ice hockey team speeds their way to success in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. Over the five decades the Green Knights has been one of the most successful division 3 teams.

Packer fans, get pumped. Every year the Green Bay Packers stay here on campus during their summer training camp.

That's right football stars like Brett Favre and Donald Driver have slept in bean bags. And check out this added bonus, the packers donate their old equipment to the college. I'm pumping iron used by football legend.

More than 74% of students live on St Norbert's Campus and one of the available residence halls, apartments, and town houses.

The thing that's probably most obvious is that students are involved in a lot of different things. We have over 60 student organizations on campus that provide a, a wide variety of, of interests for students to express themselves and, and be involved in different things.

We've all heard the Applebee's slogan eating good in the neighborhood, but I say you didn't know that St. Norbert grad is a big cheese in this restaurant chain. Alumni Michael Archer is the president of Applebee's International.

My time here's gone quickly but I really enjoyed my stay. I've changed a lot here. I like to think for the better. Learned a lot about myself and had a lot of opportunities academically as well, so I really feel confident that my future is more well off just because I St. Norbert. Sort of disappointed that I only have one year left, but the same time I'm really excited because of the preparation I received here for real world.

So if you're looking for a spiritual based college with a strong community atmosphere, St Norbert College is just the place.
