Set Designer

Set designers are responsible for putting the environment on the stage, whatever that environment may be. They create sets based on the information they get from working with the directors and playwrights. Once they have a final design, they then provide a guesstimate of the costs to build it, and then oversee the construction.

Hours: Varies depending on project

Opportunities: Movies, theme parks, and theaters

Pay: Varies depending on where you design.

Training: Master's degree and internship is beneficial.
